On carpeted surfaces the base allows the table to be moved (slid) without lifting the table, a useful feature for partially completed puzzles, projects, or scrapbooks. Once our furniture is assembled, it is lovingly rubbed by hand with Guice Woodworks’ own non-toxic, all natural oil/poly/wax blend. This finishing process alone takes a week but leaves our pieces smooth to the touch with a gorgeous finish and protected for every day use, either indoors or out.
